Thank you for coming to check out the site for The Glass Box. I think I can speak for everyone involved by saying that making this film has been an amazing journey. I want to take a moment and share some of my feelings about making The Glass Box and of filmmaking in general.

Anyone who has made or dreamed of one day making a film understands the sacrifices and hard work it takes to see this goal out to its conclusion. Although the inspiration for a film often begins behind closed doors, and on a strictly personal level, making a film is about sharing that vision with the cast, crew and world. The collaborative process of filmmaking is not about making the director's dream come alive, but sharing the dream with others in order to appreciate the universality of a given theme or thesis.

What place is better than a movie theater to witness this universality? The movie theater is a space where perfect strangers converge and experience the sweeping poles of the human condition. I came across a quote by Martin Scorsese while making this film. He says, "Now more than ever we need to talk to each other, to listen to each other and understand how we see the world, and cinema is the best medium for doing this."

Though we may be unconnected in a conventional sense, film brings us all together on the same emotional wavelength. This also rings true for the filmmaking process. Film is a collaborative art form, where all involved play a significant role in creating and navigating a vision.

For a director there is a great deal of satisfaction when a movie reaches its final cut, but only because of the obstacles and challenges that were learned from and dealt with along the way.

I'd like to thank everyone who took this journey with me to bring this film to the screen. I hope you will share this vision with me and the next one to come.
